DI Only Pathway Overview
Thank you for your interest in the MHC DI’s DI-Only Pathway. This pathway is an option for applicants in the following situations:
- Applicant already has a master’s degree.
- Applicant is currently pursuing a master’s degree.
Applicants who apply to the DI-Only Pathway must provide proof of an existing master’s degree, one that is in progress, or acceptance into a master’s program before starting the internship. Examples of proof include a letter of acceptance from a master’s program and/or transcripts from a currently enrolled master’s program. Current Compass/Compass affiliates/Compass One/Morrison Healthcare associates are given priority in early acceptance decisions and location choices. Indicate in your application if you work for any of our Compass sectors or affiliates.
Our partner university students will be given priority in early acceptance decisions and location choices. Indicate in your application if you are a current and recent graduate from the list below of priority partner universities.

Note: Applications for the Fall 2025 Internship will open on August 5, 2024, and the application deadline for November decisions will be October 15, 2024, and March decisions will be February 15, 2024. All Compass/Morrison Employees and Priority Partner students are encouraged to utilize the November decision timeline for early decisions and admittance to our internship Application Process. (Students enrolled in MSDI Pathway Partner programs with Auburn, Nicholls, Stony Brook, University of Arizona, and University of Tennessee Martin will automatically become eligible to participate in the MHC DI program, click here for MSDI Pathway Partners).
Per the CDR 2024 Graduate Degree Requirement, after January 1, 2024, dietetic interns must complete all requirements of the dietetic internship and complete a graduate program to receive a DI verification statement and to be eligible to take the registration examination for dietitians. We cannot accept interns who do not already have and are not planning to obtain a master’s degree.
